Reese Witherspoon, who got nominated for best female actor in a drama series, made a statement arrival in a black strapless gown with a stunning Tiffany blue-colored ribbon wrapped around her waist and flowing out like a train behind her. Her outfit was complemented with a dazzling diamond necklace. Selena, who starred in Only Murders in the Building, looked glamorous and elegant in a black gown featuring puffy ballgown sleeves. She styled her hair with a middle part and slicked it back, finishing off her look with a silver necklace. Lady Gaga, on the other hand, went for an all-white skin-tight gown with a deep slit and unique neck opening. Even though she missed out on the award for best lead female actor in a movie to Jessica Chastain, Lady Gaga still managed to keep her timeless and classy look, completing it with a sparkling diamond necklace.

Kirsten Dunst looked stunning in a sparkly red gown as she received a nomination for her role in The Power of the Dog at the SAG Awards. However, she lost to Ariana Debose for West Side Story. Will and Jada Smith also made an appearance on the red carpet, dressed in matching navy attire. Will won his first ever SAG award for his leading role in King Richard. Andrew Garfield, who was also nominated for the same award, opted for a simple pinstripe tuxedo. Jennifer Hudson looked fabulous in a pink floral gown and was nominated for her leading role as Aretha Franklin in Respect. Nicole Kidman arrived with Keith Urban in a black velvet dress and received a nomination for her portrayal of Lucille Ball in Being the Ricardos. Jared Leto wore a light blue tuxedo with a purple bow and was nominated for his supporting role in House of Gucci. Vanessa Hudgens, Kerry Washington, Hailee Steinfeld, Kevin Costner, Laverne Cox, and Javier Bardem were also in attendance at the star-studded event.

The SAG Awards 2022 has several nomination categories for outstanding performances in television dramas, limited series, and comedy series by actors. In an impressive achievement, Squid Game, a non-English language series on Netflix, received recognition at the awards ceremony. The show won two awards for best male and female actor in a drama series, awarded to Lee Jung-Jae and Jung Ho-Yeon respectively, and outstanding performance by a stunt ensemble in a comedy or drama series.
