Gal Gadot: Uncovering the Nationality of the Wonder Woman Star – T-Time

Gal Gadot, the actress famously known for portraying Wonder Woman, will be gracing the stage of the 2018 Oscars. Although her movie achieved record-breaking success, it did not receive any nominations for the awards ceremony. Rather, Gadot will attend as a presenter. Gadot has quickly become one of Hollywood’s most celebrated rising stars, receiving numerous accolades for her portrayal of the feminist superhero. In fact, she has received the National Board of Review’s Spotlight Award and was recently nominated for a Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Award. Prior to her acting career, Gadot served as a soldier in the Israeli army for two years.

According to JON KOPALOFF/FILMMAGIC, the celebrity, who originated from Petah Tikva, Israel, had to join the armed forces when he turned 20. It’s worth noting that military service is compulsory for both males and females above the age of 18 in Israel.

According to a 2015 interview with Fashion magazine, the actress shared that her time in the army was not too challenging for her as it provided her with excellent training for Hollywood. Prior to joining the military, Gadot had won the title of Miss Israel in 2004 at the young age of 18 and even participated in the Miss Universe pageant in Ecuador. Following her reign, Gadot went on to serve as a combat instructor in the army.

After serving in the army for two years, the celebrity enrolled in IDC Herzliya college to study law and international relations. While studying law, a casting director approached Gadot and asked her to audition for the role of a Bond girl in Quantum of Solace. However, Gadot initially declined the offer because she thought she was too serious and intelligent to become an actress, and the script was entirely in English, which made her uncomfortable even though she spoke the language.

Although she didn’t land the role she initially auditioned for, her interest in acting sparked and she eventually secured a part on an Israeli television series. After completing just one year of school, the same casting director who rejected her for Bond gave her the opportunity to play Gisele in Fast & Furious, which served as her debut film role. Upon relocating to the United States to pursue her passion for acting full-time, she quickly made a name for herself in the industry. The rest, as they say, is history.

Gal Gadot, the lead actress in the movie Wonder Woman, currently calls Los Angeles her home, living with her husband Yaron Versano and two lovely daughters named Maya and Alma.
