In admiration of the national youth poet laureate’s powerful performance at President Joe Biden’s inauguration, she expressed her appreciation by stating, “The young lady exhibited grace and fearlessness as she stepped onto the podium on that historic day. She was not only the youngest speaker but also the most impactful voice we could have asked for at that moment.”
Jolie cited some of Gorman’s exact words and added, “She called herself a seven-year-old with crooked teeth, curly hair, and difficulty speaking.”
